There is a report that one of the larger firms is attempting to pay back a portion of the TARP funds; however, the Obama team will not accept the returned money and has warned the CEO of “adverse” consequences should he persist any further.
When will the Obama team decide they are ready to receive returned TARP moneys from the more prominent financial houses? I am guessing they will do their best to maintain a position of power over the financial sector by continuing to refuse payback.
