More Bush Bashing....

"I know there have been some difficulties in recent years. In some ways, that foundation has been weakening. We've had some specific differences over policy, but we've also at times lost the sense that both of our countries are in this together -- that we have shared interests and shared values and that we can have a partnership that serves our common hopes and common dreams. So I came here to renew that foundation and to build on it." – BHO

More Bush bashing from Obama…..very tacky. Has anyone heard Gordon Brown apologizing for Tony Blair? Or Merkel putting down Schroeder? No, because that’s not what classy leaders do. But I suppose someone who throws a stack of crappy DVD’s at a visiting head-of-state will probably not carry himself as a statesman should.

What is the goal of this rhetoric? Is he attempting to capitalize upon the hatred of Bush and earn cheap points with the rest of the world? Pathetic.

Does he feel as if Europe will now be more agreeable to helping our cause? Will the UN or NATO now approve more troops for our mission in Afghanistan? Will they help us deter an aggressive N. Korea? Will we finally end genocide in Sudan? Doubt it.

Or, does he believe that our enemies of the world will wipe their feet on the doormat and enter into a new era of friendship? Naïve.
