After watching the Somali hijacking on the news, I am reminded of a liberal guest on PBS who essentially blamed Western decadence for the surge in Somali piracy.He stated that our overfishing of waters near and around Somalia has left thier waters barren and has decimated Somalia's fishing industry. They have had no choice but to turn to piracy in order to survive.
Sure….Somalia was a thriving little utopia before we came along and ruined it for them with our $3.99 Long John Silver’s® tilapia plates!
This is just the type of “blame America” rhetoric that Obama has been spewing on foreign soil. I couldn’t help but think that although he did go on to chide the Europeans for anti-American sentiment, this sentiment is fueled by his most fervent supporters! Our own media has fueled American hatred by publishing 75 front page stories on the Abu Ghraib prison scandal….they insinuated that this type of torture was the policy of our administration. So, it’s completely laughable to hear Obama chide the Europeans for anti-Americanism which is fueled by people like him!
And while we’re at it……let me tell you of some more insanity close to home! Our office has “gone green” and has done away with paper plates and cups. Yes, now we are more eco-friendly using a nasty brown sponge to clean our china. However, the best part is that we’ve been using paper towels to wipe down the plates after washing them….I guarantee, if you wad up 2 paper towels and a paper plate, you will see about the same volume of paper….!
…..and I have been asked to drop off 2 grocery bags of plastic at the recycling center….which is 5 miles away. So, I burn a half gallon of gasoline to recycle products that use less oil than the car I’m driving.
I’m tired of “good intentions” trumping logic!

Sounds like a perfect match. Castro thinks Americans are a bunch of racists(which is obviously why Cuba is so shitty, nothing to do with communism), so does the CBC and BO. It's a great starting point to fixing our terrible and unfair country. Reminds me of the election when we were supposed to believe that BO didn't actually buy into Rev Wright and Black Liberation Theology. These people are pushing the same philosophy and no one will utter a peep for fear of being called a racist. BTW-What the hell can Castro do to help us?

Speaking of gushing...yahoo has an article on what tv shows BO watches. Apparently he reschedules meetings and is late sometimes so he can catch Entourage(The character Ari is based on Rahms real brother). First, get a DVR, I thought this president was supposed to be so cool and cutting edge. Second, I find it hard to believe that a tv show takes any kind of precedent over a presidential meeting. Another example of his narcissism and naivety.
