Bow Down to a Saudi That's Greater Than You!

"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah.” –Obama Aide

Obama was told they keep most of the oil under his gown…..he was going in for a look. Although the drama surrounding the “alleged” bow has become a bit of a “soap opera”, it is disturbing to hear an aide to Obama blatantly lie in order to cover up embarrassing activity….especially when the truth is painfully obvious. An anonymous aide to King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz has recently stated that the king’s ring now smells of arugula!

And since the job apparently lends itself to on-the-job training, I’d almost be willing to give him a pass for his ignorance regarding presidential protocol. Just fess up to it and move on!

There was a recent case in Saudi Arabia of a grandmother receiving 17 lashes for allowing 2 young men into her home. One of the young men was a boy in which she helped raise. Sharia law forbids this type of contact between men and women, though, so Allah declared it was time for a beat down! Another recent headline spoke of a Saudi Arabian woman who was raped by 3 men. Since she had allowed herself to fall into the company of 3 men outside of the public eye, she was arrested and lashed.

Now, I realize America is the land of incivility with all of our wrongful executions, imperialistic aspirations, and racist tendencies, so I can certainly appreciate the fact that our president must apologize for our ignorance on every leg of his world tour. It shows we are open to dialogue, ready to pretend we are not a superpower, and we are of no greater importance than any other country.

I’m now thinking this may not be the most effective strategy…..Maybe we should simply continue our pursuit of world domination and drill a little on our own. Coupled with a public lashing of Nancy Pelosi, Obama just may have his own ring kissed by a wide-eyed foreign leader one day!

You should know about this first hand. When you meet other people, since you most likely are always shorter, is it necessary for them to kneal that low to shake your hand?
