Suing On the Grounds of Falsehoods

As if we do not already live in an overly litigious society, congress is now opening the doors to sue the Federal Government or Corporations due to the effects caused to their person or property by Mother Nature or Man-Made Global Warming. A new bill written by House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry A. Waxman, California Democrat, and Rep. Edward J. Markey, Massachusetts Democrat will allow for lawsuits on the basis of global warm....er....Climate Change.

A new provision slipped into a house climate bill will allow for our citizens to sue the Federal government from issues as simple as asthma complications to a roof blowing off their homes. You may sue on the grounds that the Federal government should have taken steps to prevent the erratic weather and the polluting company may not have enough carbon credits to justify their release of nasty old CO2 into the air.

This will cover anyone "who has suffered, or reasonably expects to suffer, a harm attributable, in whole or in part," to government inaction to file a "citizen suit." The term "harm" is defined as "any effect of air pollution (including climate change), currently occurring or at risk of occurring."

If the judge rules against the government, the Feds will have to take further steps to alleviate global warming. If the judge rules against the company, then the company will be forced to purchase more carbon emission allowances or “carbon credits”.

Man…wouldn’t it have been a great idea to start a company which actually facilitates the bartering of carbon credits between companies?

Even if man made global warming is real, how can they prove that the "climate change" was due to something forsseable by our government? Maybe it was caused by our industrial pollution in the 30's......before the lunatics embraced the great global warming hoax. The science is just not there to facilitate these erroneous claims.

I am hoping this opens the doors to a stand off by the global warming skeptics. A properly funded defense attorney may be able to disprove manmade global warming in the court of law….I hope Lance Ito is presiding and we can watch it on the T.V.!!
