"Let me say it as simply as I can: transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency" - Barack Obama
".....Along with lying, recklessly throwing money we don't have at my constituencies, and picking Washington insiders that don’t pay their taxes….."
Obama pledged transparency and a new brand of leadership. Most of the snippets I’ve seen from his Press Secretary Robert Gibbs show a snide and smug smartass that dances around every critical question with sarcasm. Serious questions regarding the safety of our country are answered by brushing off the former Vice President as a novelty, and he seems to enjoy trashing Obama’s media critics by name. This flies in the face of what the American people were counting on with the “change” and really demeans the White House.
Jake Tapper appears to be the only member of the press willing to put aside whatever ideology he has to ask tough, critical questions of Obama’s policies. His legitimate question regarding the release of vetting documents for Obama appointees is met with pure condescension and disgust. Then Gibbs completely ignores his second question. His question was not at all inappropriate, especially considering the lousy job Obama has done of picking his Cabinet members. Let’s hope that there are at least a few of Obama’s lackeys in the media that will eventually feel scorned by the betrayal of his B.S. campaign rhetoric. Maybe we’ll get a few more willing to do their job and bring the truth to the American people. The days of avoiding questions and blaming Bush are numbered!

Gibbs quite possibly could be the worst press secretary ever. All of his answers sound like obama's campaign rhetoric. No matter what question is asked his answers always lead to some statement about how their finally helping the working class or teachers. Meanwhile no evidence exists to support his claims. He will be gone soon, he is an obvious liability.
I think we're all tired of talk. Everyone's ready for results (if that's ever going to actually happen)
Different glasses and toss on the suit...and we may have another match!
