Have you ever noticed that when someone professes they are the BEST at something and do everything in his or her power to let people know….then generally they are not? Liberals love to let you know how much more caring, aware, and giving they are....(unfortunately, this is usually limited to environmental and animal causes!)
In fact, one is reminded of this self absorbed condescension each time they make a trip to Austin and are stuck behind a little hatchback with the ever popular “Jesus Was a Liberal” bumper sticker…..generally this little vehicle is emitting gases that would warm up Siberia if given a chance (ha)….but that is a whole other discussion…..

Case in point.........
Arthur Brooks, Social Science Professor at Syracuse University, recently released the results of his study into the gap between Conservative and Liberal charitable contributions:
Arthur Brooks, Social Science Professor at Syracuse University, recently released the results of his study into the gap between Conservative and Liberal charitable contributions:
-Although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).
-Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood.
-Residents of the states that voted for John Kerry in 2004 gave smaller percentages of their incomes to charity than did residents of states that voted for George Bush.
-Bush carried 24 of the 25 states where charitable giving was above average.
-In the 10 reddest states, in which Bush got more than 60 percent majorities, the average percentage of personal income donated to charity was 3.5. Residents of the bluest states, which gave Bush less than 40 percent, donated just 1.9 percent.
-People who reject the idea that "government has a responsibility to reduce income inequality" give an average of four times more than people who accept that proposition.
This phenomenon is also found in Joe Biden’s meager giving. Joe Biden made $320,000 last year…a drop in the bucket when compared to other Senators of his stature. But, get this…in the past 10 years, Joe has given an average of $369 per year. Many people throw that much into wishing wells at the mall!
And, although Al Gore gives quite a bit these days, he came under fire in 1997 for $353 in charitable donations…..and he is worth MILLIONS!!
I suppose there must be a difference between those that prefer to help the less fortunate through private causes and those that believe in “adequacy by force”.

Blogservant, I'm feeling like your tone in the first paragraph is alluding to a particular friend of yours that rhymes with "pHony"......
People like Gore and Biden give much, much more than monetary funds to charitable causes, you just don't get it...
....they contribute their worthless time (saving the planet from "global warming", etc)......
Every liberals philosophy:
"Do I say not as I do"
You can apply it to Gore with Global Warming, Biden with giving away other people's money, and most recently Gillebrand from NY who somehow got permission to own guns in a state where essentially only cops and body guards can carry. They are greedy crooks and will justify any position to gain money and power.
"phony" does consider himself a real renaissance man.
Does someone actually track how much blood politicians donate?
No, they are obviously using a sampling and the study is not referring to politicians.....just people that consider themselves liberal or conservative.
